I received these pictures from Veda of their Civil War Ball. The ball was a success and, obviously, they were all very beautiful. Veda photographed everyone and, as usual, did a wonderful job. I wish I could have been there, but having the opportunity to help some with the dresses was such a treat. Enjoy the pictures!

Can you please tell me what pattern was used for the dress that the young girl named Sara wore or could you get me in touch with someone who knows?
Hope to hear your reply soon, they will notify me when and if (hopefully) you reply, directly to my email.
Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon!
Yes, that would be my gown that I made...
I did a lot of altering when making it. I used the basic bodice of Simplicity 5724 (it's an authentic cut), but I raised the neckline higher up on the shoulders for modesty. I made the pattern for the skirt myself, as well as the trim design on both it and the bodice.
The idea for the gown I took from an 1860's English ball gown I saw in a fashion book.
Also, the lighting wasn't right when we took these photographs. My gown looks like a gold silk, but it's really sage green with burgandy and cream trim.
Hope this helps!
